Advanced Osteopathic Techniques 5

IET OSTEO 5

The Awakening Heart

Deeper excursions into the true nature of healing.

Osteo 5 is a deeper foray into Equine Osteopathic Healing. It is a result of the constant push to extend and create something more profound, more effective, superior results, and greater ease collaborating with horses. What Tom learned from current human research in critical areas where horses mirror humans—or exist in the same toxic environments and develop similar dysfunctions—he applies osteopathically to horses, continually seeking inroads and greater efficacy.  Additionally, he gathered input from IET Osteo practitioners, and the synergy of working together produced truly amazing results. This approach—working briefly as a unified group, with each person bringing their own perspective—yields profound outcomes and, in his belief, is the most effective model to follow.

This course represents a natural evolution of the IET Osteopathic Technique Courses, designed for those who seek a deeper, more intuitive connection with equine healing. Unlike the structured paths of OSTEO 1-4, this course embraces fluidity and creative collaboration. It was born out of the relentless push for more profound healing, greater efficiency, and the desire to understand how the body is fundamentally designed and operates. There are no strict checklists here—OSTEO 5 is about exploring, exchanging ideas, and building on the methodologies we’ve already mastered, while venturing into new territories of healing. This course invites students to refine their path, enhance their skills, and work alongside Equus to deepen their understanding of both horse and self.

The course focuses on the three primary energies that drive the body: the Soul, Spirit, and Life Force, which correspond to the vascular, craniosacral, and fascial systems. Through the exploration of these energies, students will learn to treat and clear core dysfunctions in a more profound way. OSTEO 5 is divided into four distinct sections: Ancillary Techniques, The Awakening Heart, Soul Nerve (Ventral Vagal Nerve), and The Fascial Mainframe. These teachings aim to refine and augment previous work, focusing on the intricate connections between the body's core systems, such as how the diaphragm’s role in cranial-phrenic nerve function impacts the hypothalamus and the entire body.

This course offers more than just techniques—it’s a spiritual and physical journey that leads practitioners toward a greater understanding of how to truly support the horse’s healing process. The essence of OSTEO 5 is not just about treating physical symptoms, but addressing the primal forces that govern the body. It encourages students to not only master techniques but to engage with the profound interplay between Soul, Spirit, and Life Force. In this unstructured, intuitive environment, students will expand their healing abilities, working in synergy with their fellow practitioners and horses to create results that go beyond the physical, into the very essence of healing.

What to Expect

Students can expect an unstructured, intuitive learning experience that adapts to the needs of the group and the horses. The course focuses on four main areas: the Ancillary Techniques, The Awakening Heart, Soul Nerve (Ventral Vagal Nerve), and The Fascial Mainframe, providing advanced techniques for deeper healing and profound results. To support your continued learning, you'll receive a Course Handbook, serving as a valuable reference during and after the course.
